5.0 out of 5 stars A Superb Remix!, September 19, 2001
By "stevenstevenson" (London, England United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This is a fantastic remix of The Weakest Link, featuring most of Anne's put downs like, "You Are The Weakest Link, Goodbye" (Obviously), not to mention other well known phrases like "It's votes that count", with some people shouting "You Are The Weakest Link!" in the background. This is all mixed with a catchy melody that seems to grow on you every time you listen to it. This CD also uses some music from the show, like the Ta-Ta-Te-Da sting and a few other pieces here and there, but otherwise this CD contains music that's original.

Radio Edit:
This is the actual remix of The Weakest Link. It starts off with Anne saying, "Lets Play The Weakest Link" with a sample of the background music before the opening sequence on the weakest link.
The main part of the song is a dance beat mixed with Anne's put downs like "Who is an embarrassment", "Who is costing you dearly" and not to mention "You are the weakest link, goodbye!" to name just a few. This is mixed with the Weakest Link sting, and people shouting, "You are the weakest link!" in the background. You may also notice a James Bondish melody appearing occasionally.
3 MINUTES, 28.1 SECONDS.

Obelisk:
This is a mainly instrumental song, with some haunting-ish singing in the background, and what appears to be a saxophone playing continuously. It shares a few small similarities with the Radio Edit, mainly the Pizzicato type melody mixed into it. There is not really much to say about this song, except that it's something that you listen to, maybe dance to, enjoy and forget about.
3 MINUTES, 49.4 SECONDS.

Greedy:
Again, a mainly instrumental, with some singing embedded in the background. No pizzicato-ish sounds here, just a dance-ish beat, with saxophones... ish? And other stuff mixed into it. Again, nothing to shout about.
3 MINUTES, 31.8 SECONDS.

Overall, Radio Edit is the best song on the single. Al the other songs are good, but are nothing new.

A GOOD BUY!
