Product Description

Amazon.com Review

The Ultrasonex rechargeable toothbrush supercharges your dental hygiene routine, removing far more plaque than even the most manic manual brushing could achieve. Alternating 1.6 MHz ultrasonic and 18,000 SPM carrier waves, the "dual frequency" action purports to reach below the gum line to prevent gingivitis and bleeding. (More likely, it's the 18,000 strokes per minute that does the trick.) It's certainly true that the Ultrasonex leaves teeth as clean as they'll feel short of a trip to the dentist. The charge lasts for up to 4 days, making it easy to bring along on short trips. The ergonomically designed toothbrush feels good in the hand, and it even turns itself off automatically after three minutes--the amount of brushing time recommended by dentists. No cheating by shutting it off manually! --Mary Park

5.0 out of 5 stars Best for the Price, October 3, 2003
By A Customer
I work in a job that has allowed me to try all of the powered toothbrushes on the market. I have tried Cybersonic, Braun Ultrasonex, the old Sonicare Advance and new Sonicare Elite. This item was #2 out of the bunch. The reason I give it five stars is for value. The Best I have tried is the Sonicare Elite which is over 6 times the price of this item. Ultrasonex had better results than all of the other more expensive brands. My advice is either step up to the plate and spend over one hundred dollars for a Sonicare or buy 6 of these for the whole family.

4.0 out of 5 stars My hygenist was impressed., December 30, 2001
By Charlene Birmingham (Hilton Head Island, SC USA) - See all my reviews
I've been using the Ultrasonex in conjunction with an oral irrigator for over a year and am very happy with the results. On my last dental check-up and cleaning, the hygenist inquired as to what I'd been doing differently as my gums were in such good shape. The difference was the toothbrush. The three minute timer is a great feature and keeps me "honest". Another good feature is the comparatively low price of replacement heads. I would have given the product 5 stars if I was able to buy replacement brushes locally. There is no store in my local area which carries them, so I have to plan ahead a bit, but the toothbrush is worth the small extra effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultrasonex SB300U Rechargeable Toothbrush, March 1, 2004
By Paul Nevai "nevai" (Columbus, OH United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The Ultrasonex SB300U Rechargeable Toothbrush is the best I ever had.
Unlike most reviewers, I had it for over 3 years AND I own both
SoniCare and Braun toothbrushes, each in almost all versions
[I have been using electric toothbrushes for about 30 years].
Nothing beats the Ultrasonex SB300U Rechargeable Toothbrush.
I use it together with the Braun mouth irrigator [I own at least 5 of those
too but the Braun is the best]. BTW, I found that most dentists
know nothing about electric tooth brushes and irrigators except what
their salespeople tell them. So it is pretty stupid when a reviewer refers
to a dentist. BTW, this is the 1st review I ever wrote for Amazon.
Paul Nevai [I am just a tremendously satisfied customer]

N.B. For the best effectiveness, just brush with it as if it were a regular toothbrush.
