Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

This is the original Winnie the Pooh Preschool plus a new activity that exposes kids to French and Spanish. The 100-Acre Wood gang is getting ready for Eeyore's birthday party. Though the narration is sometimes too much, the activities are nicely integrated into the story line. Rabbit, for instance, can't come to the party unless all of his vegetable jars are labeled. Kids help him by matching number labels to the number of objects in each jar. To free Piglet up to make the birthday cake, children color pictures by matching the colors of a model. The added activity is the weakest of the bunch. Pooh speaks into a hole in a tree and his echo returns in a foreign language. While good in theory, children have very little control of the words chosen due to uninterruptible narration and limited choices. All things considered, however, the breadth and depth of the CD is strong, and the content is well suited to preschoolers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, September 19, 2001
By A Customer
This being my 3rd preschool game I've gotten I was fairly disappointed by this particular game. Too much of a story going on and it can't be interupted with a mouse click. Plus, some of the games are hard for me to understand the concept behind it, much less my 3 year old.

5.0 out of 5 stars We love this!, August 29, 2001
Our 3-1/2 year old has been using the computer for a long time, and this is clearly her favorite. She loves the various games, and I love the fact that each game has three levels. She loves painting--where at level three she has to mix colors (red and blue to get purple). She also loves making alphabet soup with Roo and counting vegetables with Rabbit. This has it all--counting, matching, coloring, and the alphabet.

3.0 out of 5 stars Elmo's Preschool is better, February 6, 2002
By Creighton Tenney (Rowlett, TX USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
We currently only have two programs for our 3 year old daughter, This one and Elmo's Preschool. While my daughter loves both of them, she is able to guess her way through the alphabet soup game without gaining anything. The game's overall ability to correct the child and help them understand why the answer they chose is incorrect is inferior to Elmo's Preschool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful for my 2 year old!
My daughter really has developed great skills at the computer. She has learned to click and drag along with her numbers and alphabet. She even repeats what she hears in Spanish!
