Silk is back with #4, June 14, 2001
After reestablishing themselves after their last CD, "Tonight", Silk is back again, ladies and gentlemen, with their 4th CD, "Love Session". They had came out with a smashing debut CD with hits like "Lose Control", "Happy Days" w/Keith Sweat, "Freak Me" and "Girl U For Me". Their 2nd CD was backed up by the first single, "Hooked On You" but you didn't hear too much about Silk after that until they made their last CD, "Tonight". Songs like "Let's Make Love", "If You (Lovin' Me)", "Meeting In My Bedroom" and "Baby Check Your Friend" brought Silk back to some sort of respectability to people that may have forgot them. Their new CD, "Love Session", takes place where "Tonight" left off. If you are a fan of "Tonight", you will definitely enjoy this CD. The slow jam presentation is very much like the last CD and the majority of the production is handled once again by Darrell "Delite" Allamby for 2000 Watts Music. The 1st single "We're Callin' You" is definitely vintage Silk and 2000 Watts impressed me with how they made that song different from any slow jam that was on the last CD. The rest of the CD sounds similar, but if you are a fan of slow songs like I am, it won't really matter to the listener. Other gems include: The title track, "Don't Go" w/Tamar Braxton, "I'm Sorry", "I Didn't Mean To" and a nice remake of the Rick James and Smokey Robinson classic, "Ebony Eyes". The only song that most people will particularly not care for is "Nursery Rhymes", where Silk mixes in nursery rhymes with pleasing their women. 2000 Watts and Silk went a little too far with that one. Other than that, Silk gives their fans another CD to have in the collection. "Love Session" is definitely a must buy in my opinion.

LOVE MUSIC AT IT'S BEST, November 10, 2003
By A Customer
This cd is absolutely great. Pretty much every track on the CD is good...I noticed some of the other reviews praised the songs but for some reason said that "Nursery Rhymes" was not so great...I felt that song was very very good, they found a way 2 make otherwise corny child songs sound Sexy and Lucious and perfect for 1 on 1 time with your lady. If you are a true R&B fan you WILL purchase this CD its a perfect investment.
