4.0 out of 5 stars Fast as hell, November 13, 2001
By A Customer
If you were a fan of the the original ...In Pains, be aware this is TOTALLY different. This is blast metal, fast as hell, short (2-3min) songs. The production isn't great, there's a lot of white noise (the hi-hat seems overwhelming, and the snare sound is iffy), and the songs tend to be a bit samey. However, there is some great technical stuff in there (time changes, fills etc) and some nice melodies. The only album I can compare it to (not being a black metal expert) is Panzer Division Marduk, which is similarly intense but not as good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, January 5, 2002

(REAL NAME)
This is cold and melancholy black metal with death metal influences. The music is highly aggressive while maintaining an underlying melody. The production is appropriate for what they are trying to accomplish, it has a raw, icy kind of feel to it but not as sterile as the latest Satyricon or Thorns cd. It has an almost "live" sound. They also throw in some chilling computer enhanced vocals in a couple of places. Go to their website and download the video for the song "Rupture" to get an idea of what they are all about.

5.0 out of 5 stars HEAVY AS HELL!!, November 24, 2001
By Neil Laperriere (Grosse Pointe Park, MI USA) - See all my reviews
EXCELLENT black metal, with an interesting industrial undertone... they have a member from Dødheimsgard, and they also have a guest appearance from fenriz, if that isn't good enough! DEFINITELY a MUST HAVE for fans of SATYRICON and DIMMU BORGIR!!! BUY IT YOU'LL THANK ME
