Billed by the manufacturer as the most powerful handheld vacuum available, and with the longest running time, too, this cordless machine picks up both dry dirt and wet spills in the home, auto, boat, cabin, or dorm room. It comes with a wall-mountable charging base (mounting hardware included) and contains a computer-controlled system that monitors power availability, signaling with a light when the vacuum needs recharging. Three tools are included: a crevice tool at the end of a wand that can be extended up to 13 inches, a squeegee for picking up wet spills on hard surfaces, and a upholstery brush. A little headlight illuminates dirt in dark corners and beneath furniture. Key to the vacuum's performance is a three-stage filtration system: a prefilter catches large dirt particles, the vacuum's bowl collects liquids and small particles, and a washable foam filter traps dust and small particles and is recommended for vacuuming liquids. The foam filter can be quickly replaced by a HEPA filter (included) that traps 99.97 percent of pollen, dust mites, and other allergens down to 0.3 microns in size. Filtered air is exhausted out the rear, away from dirt. After emptying, the prefilter, bowl, and filter cover can be washed. (They're dishwasher-safe.) The vacuum is clad in rugged plastic, measures 18 inches long, and carries a two-year warranty against defects.
