5.0 out of 5 stars The best of Macross II, October 4, 2001
By Alejandro Felix Reyes "Jalex" (México City, Distrito Federal Mexico) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Well, I have to say that this is an excellent CD, if you are a Macross Fan is "a must".

An explanation must be given this CD contains the very first soundtrack, as it appears in the OVA's. So if you expect to find songs like "Promise (Yakusoko)" or others sung by Ishtar you should buy the Volume II.
Here we have songs sang by Wendy and the opening and closing songs. Also Minmei attack song.

Buy it, you won't regret it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice music, just not all of it., January 25, 2009
Not a bad soundtrack, though, they are missing a few tracks from the series. The J-pop fits the series, and even if it isn't the greatest of all time, it is worth adding to the library.

5.0 out of 5 stars The reason I became interested in the Macross series, March 5, 2008
By Shadow (Montclair, NJ USA) - See all my reviews
I never really had been interested in the Macross Series until I saw this movie so I figured that I would get the soundtrack. I was not wrong, To this day this soundtrack is in the top 3 in my favorite soundtracks only bested by star ocean and final fantasy. I would never have become interested in this series if I had not heard the song "For Now, A Friend" by Tomoyo Sato, Now I am hooked.

There is no special reason to buy this soundtrack. I only bought it for sentimentality reasons. I would say that the opening and closing songs are the best on this CD. Read more

Macross II wasn't the best movie in the "Macross" series and was considered a failure in most circles. It was the first anime I ever saw, so it was great to me. Read more
