Any fan of Cajun/Zydeco music cannot have a complete collection without having THIS cd. If you've never seen him live, this is the next best thing. CJ Chenier shows, once again, how he can 'Step It Up' and have anyone on the dance floor. If you are a fan, or a first time listener, grab this disc, and especially at these prices! Then retire whatever you've BEEN listening to, because I guaarannteee this will be in the player for a long time.

This is a must have if you are a fan of zydeco or cajun music. THis is upbeat clean music that is fun to dance to. Even in your own home you will find your foot tapping and your body moving.

Step It Up! was the first album we purchased. We had gone to an out of the way club and C. J. Chenier and his group were performing. People came to seriously dance. We came to listen but soon found ourselves dancing. We didn't know the steps but it didn't seem to matter, we just moved. It is just happy, happy music.
