5.0 out of 5 stars I swear, her panda shows up everywhere..!, December 26, 2005
By Steve-O (New York) - See all my reviews
Don't be fooled by Kana's extremely cute looks -- this isn't your run-of-the-mill artist, and she certainly does not sing like a Utada Hikaru or a Puffy AmiYumi would. If you looked here hoping for an artist similar to those two, well, you're at the wrong place.

Kana has a really unique voice. Her speaking voice is cute, high-pitched, and probably could pass for an 8 year old -- but her singing voice is screechy, rebellious, and will make you either wail along, or toss the CD out the window. It's an acquired taste, and can be a problem if you aren't used to vocals being utilized in such a way.

The music itself is a mixture of hard rock and punk, which can be surprising considering Kana's cute looks. Nevertheless, it compliments her vocals quite well, and together creates such a dynamic presentation that I have yet to see this chemistry matched by any other artist -- in any language. And if you're like me, you'll undoubtedly find yourself stomping your feet to a lot of the songs ("Hebi-Ichigo", "Chimame", and "Kuuchuu Buranko" -- I'm lookin' at 'cha!).

So, if feel you are ready, then Kana should be more than happy to make your acquaintance. Brace yourself for a completely unique experience, and enjoy.

This CD is awesome~! I had only heard Chimame and Kabi before purchasing this, but I am addicted to all of the songs on here. ^___^ My favorites being Kabi, Hebi-Ichigo, Momo -Me Ga Haeta Shiki-, and Toraboruta. You should purchase this album, trust me, you will not regret it.
