A fitting supplement to the feature-packed Matrix DVD, The Matrix Revisited provides a wealth of Matrix arcana, delivered by the 1999 blockbuster's principal cast and crew. The main course in this 163-minute feast is a two-hour documentary covering virtually every aspect of production, with teasing glimpses of fight training on the not-yet-released Matrix sequels. Of greater interest is the sheer depth of filmmaking coverage, with intelligent and amusing anecdotes and insights from all the major players (including graphic artist Geof Darrow, given overdue credit for his outstanding conceptual designs). Every now and then a movie comes along that is both highly entertaining and intellectualy stimulating. As this DVD will show, the viewers will catch a glimpse of the level of difficulty it takes to make such an incredible film. As if the original Matrix DVD wasn't all ready loaded with special features, Matrix Revisted goes even further into the world of the Matrix. Just don't get confused while you're pondering the purchase of this DVD; this is not the Matrix movie...rather it is a full documentary on the making of the movie and the impact it had on the film crew along with the fans of the Matrix. This is an absolute must have...and honestly, I feel very lucky that someone actually put it together and released it for the masses. Thank you Warner brothers!

Being a fan of "The Matrix", getting this DVD was a no-brainer for me. The 2-hour documentary goes into an insane amount of detail about the conception and making of the film (and gives you a little tease about the upcoming two "Matrix" films), and even talks about the film's website, the upcoming animated "Matrix" shorts, and even has a few little surprises (wander through the menus for that). But the documentary alone is worth the price of admission here.

One of the best and coolest documentaries I've ever seen. Anyone who loves the matrix, or loves 'technical but not overly technical' documentaries will love this.

One thing I love about Revisited is how much it feels more like a separate film from the Matrix; at the moment I'm watching Revisited more than the movie, and enjoy it every time.

Also, the movie is divided into chapters (just as every other DVD is...) except on this DVD, each chapter is a separate sub-documentary that focuses on a spacific aspect of the film (example: special effects, costumes, etc.) Come to a chapter on the DVD that you don't think will interest you? Hit the ol' skip button on your remote and you can go to the next fascinating sub-documentary.

Another thing I love about this is how much closer you feel to the cast and crew when you are finished watching this movie; you see how they think, train, work, film, imagine, create, design, build, and just about everything else that has to do with the matrix films (yes, it briefly discussed the trilogy near the end.) You feel higher than other Matrix nerds after you watch this simply because you know a few more random facts about it than they...and I love that feeling.
