About the Artist
Most Wanted, a long-time Detroit area band, started working on this project in the summer of 1999, completing it in February 2000, but delayed its release when guitarist Dave McReynolds left the band. Founding member singer songwriter Mark Hiser and long-term members Ray Bailey and Greg Kerkes teamed up with new guitarist Greg Gdanick, keeping Most Wanteds dual guitar, working class, modern rock sound. Greg Gdanick comes to the band with an aggressive style of playing, having played with members of Rare Earth, 707, and Molly Hatchet. Both their debut CD and this second release was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andy Patalan at The Loft in Saline, Michigan.
Tattoo Girls continues with the bands proven combination of Mark Hisers real life lyrics and the sound of his expressive vocals blended with dynamic hooks, percussive rhythm, and crafty guitar work throughout the sixteen-song, sixty-eight minute production. In My Life is the first single to get radio attention.
Likened to Matchbook 20 and Collective Soul, Most Wanted has continued to enjoy a long run of shows and local concerts, with a reputation for delivering a complete show full of emotion and spirit. These guys are the definition of a peoples choice band. Approachable, yet passionate about the music, never losing sight of how important the people are to making and performing compelling music.
