Its small size lets you throw the cable in your bag with your camera and connect to your PC wherever you need to.

The reader easily connects to your computer through your USB port and requires no external AC power. You can use your batteries for taking more pictures with your camera instead of transferring images to your computer--the Memory Stick digital media reader lets you transfer your photos without even turning on your camera.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny and more..., December 4, 2002
By A Customer
My system is a Windows XP Pro Pentium 4. Considering previous reviews here on this products incompatibility with Win XP I was a little worried about purchasing it. However now that I have, I can confirm that it is indeed fully Win XP (and Mac OS 9/X) compatible. Simply plug it into the USB port and it installs the XP driver automatically and in a matter of seconds its ready to download pics off a memory stick. I don't doubt the word of others who had problems using this reader with XP because they must have had an older version of the reader which did not have the XP update yet. The package also includes a CD ROM that contains the older Win 98 and Mac OS 8.6 drivers. Ease of use is outstanding and the price makes it very affordable and a must have item.

1.0 out of 5 stars Won't work for Memory Stick Pro, July 26, 2003
By A Customer
I bought this product to use with my 512MB Lexar Memory Stick PRO. Unfortunately, my XP Professional computer wouldn't recognize it. I contacted Lexar tech support, and at least they were honest enough to say it wouldn't work with the PRO versions. They recommended the Lexar Multi-Card Reader 2.0, which they said could read memory stick PROs up to 1GB.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy stuff, October 11, 2002
By Thomas Funk "grue" (San Ramon, CA United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I had purchased the Dazzle "Universal" memory stick reader and came to find out that it does not read Lexar sticks. So, I picked up this product and it works great.

I am running Windows XP and simply had to plug this into my USB port and I was on my way. Works with the Sony 16M stick that came with my digicam as well.
