Selfishness can threaten even the strongest friendships. When Cleo is named "fluffiest dog" in "Fluffed Up Cleo," her inflated ego threatens the close friendship between herself, Clifford, and T-bone. Cleo's hesitance to share a new toy in "Cleo's Fair Share" finds her alone and bored, while her overbearing enthusiasm for a prolonged stay at Clifford's house proves intrusive in "Friends Morning, Noon, and Night." Finally, Cleo learns an important lesson about nurturing friendships when her excitement over KC's visit to Birdwell Island leaves Clifford and T-bone feeling unimportant and forgotten. Based on the Clifford book series by Norman Bridwell, these brightly animated stories are appealing and timeless. Join Clifford and his friends for an exploration of sharing, compassion, and friendship. (Ages 3 to 7) --Tami Horiuchi

Product Description
Clifford helps his friend Cleo learn a lot about growing up, sharing toys and making friends. Fluffed-Up Cleo: Cleo tells everyone about winning a blue ribbon for being Birdwell Island's Fluffiest Dog. But she soon discovers that bragging isn't such a good idea. Cleo's Fair Share: When Cleo gets a new toy, she wants it all to herself. But isn't having friends to share with a lot more fun than playing alone? Friends, Morning, Noon and Night: Cleo comes to visit Clifford's doghouse for a few days. Being together all the time is hard, until Clifford shows Cleo how to be a good guest-and a good friend. Two's Company: Cleo ignores Clifford and T-bone when their new friend K.C. comes for a visit, but she finds out that it's important to care about your old friends too.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent collection of Clifford stories, March 23, 2004
By Allison D "Allison D" (Tucson, AZ United States) - See all my reviews
My 3 year old has suddenly taken a liking to Clifford, and I'm really impressed with the PBS series. We checked this video out from the library and I'm going to purchase it now that I know what an excellent collection it is. My son especially likes this one because all of the stories center on the dog characters (Clifford, T-Bone, Cleo, Mac) and deal less with the sometimes annoying human characters.

I like the fact that the four episodes deal with important issues for children: the pitfalls of bragging, the joys of sharing, why you shouldn't take advantage of friends, and why not to take friends for granted. The "lessons" are delivered in a completely unobtrusive way. Another plus: there are no "scary" elements, so my son never asks to skip episodes like he does with some of the other collections. This video is a good bet for new and seasoned Clifford fans. Keep in mind that all of the episodes are taken directly from the PBS series. There is no new material here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Video, May 19, 2002
A Kid's Review
Review:

My cousin, Naomi absouletely adores Clifford. Any adult would say the same thing, and this is a good video for kids 3 and under, and I give it 5 stars.

Fluffed Up Cleo:

When Ceo wins the fluffiest dog contest, Cleo starts bragging about both her trophy and her 1st place ribbon, but Cleo discovers that you should not brag.

Cleo's Fair Share:

When Cleo gets a toy bone, she ignores her friends, Clifford and T-Bone, she just wanted to play with it so much, Cleo hurt part of Clifford's feelings. She did learn about sharing.

Friends, Morning Noon and Night:

When Mrs. Diller gets her house painted, Cleo stays with Clifford for 1 night and 2 days, Clifford taught Cleo how to not just "hog" something.

Two's Company:

When Clifford's new friend K.C. comes for a visit, Cleo HOGGED K.C. and plays with him, he first appeared in "A New Friend" But Cleo learns you got to take care of your old friends, or you could loose them, Cleo said "Loose Clifford and T-Bone, oh, that would be the worst thing ever!"

Well, Byonara!
