A fan for life, October 23, 2001
Pat Green is simply the best. "Three Days" may be his first album with a record label, but for me it is just the latest of many great albums, and I hope the tradition continues. I've been hooked since I heard "Dancehall Dreamer" way back in '96, and I've always wondered why Pat wasn't a big star, well now I know he's on his way. The re-release of "Southbound 35"(my favorite song from the first time I heard it), with its new music, has helped me believe that the new record deal will only allow Pat's music to get better and better. The duets with Willie Nelson and Trish Murphy, as well as "Texas On My Mind" give me goosebumps, and help restore my faith that country music hasn't gone pop. Pat writes and sings with his soul, he lays it all out on the table and lets the people feel what he feels. I'm forever grateful to have grown up in Waco, where I had a chance to hear Pat and love his music. So Pat, if you ever read this, you've got a fan for life. I know I speak for all the others when I say I wish you the best, and whether you draw 50 or 50,000, I'll be there. Carry on my friend, carry on.

Country - Texas Style, October 16, 2001
A great CD for any occasion. A CD that can be put in your car for a long road trip and listened to over and over again. The positive outlook on life that exemplifies Pat Green and his songwriting talent are evident. This CD succeeds in representing what Texas music is all about. The song "Threadbare Gypsy Soul" is a duet with the great Willie Nelson, one of Pat's heroes. The title track is a great song that speaks to anyone that has ever had to be away from the one that they care about most. This song strikes a chord with those that have gone through a long distance relationship. This CD combines the songs that were only available locally with the 6 new songs that show Pat's continuing growth as a songwriter. I highly recommend this CD to anyone that is looking to find what country music is supposed to sound like. One of the best CD's that I have heard in a long time.

Awesome with a capital A!, October 16, 2001
Being a long time Pat Green fan, word of his new "Nashville" contract kinda worried me. But I kept the faith, and Pat has not let me or his dozens :) of fans down. This new album completely rocks. It contains seven songs that long time fans would already know and might question their re-release. However, Pat has put together new arrangements of all of them, and I think they're all better than the originals. The most surprising one to me was the all-new Southbound 35 (number 12 on the new cd). This has always been my favorite Pat song, and has been renewed due to it's revamped rockin' style. A new favorite (running a close second behind Southbound) is Threadbare Gypsy Soul (number two on the new cd), a duet with the legendary Willie Nelson. This song is pure Texas Country. Nice and mellow, and classic Pat Green. Pat said he wrote this one while thinkin about Willie's shoes and all they had seen and the places they had been. VERY COOL! That's about it for my review. For all those old Pat friends, the new one is just as good, if not BETTER than all of his other cds. For those who don't yet know about Pat, get this cd and you will soon understand. WATCH OUT NASHVILLE, HERE COMES TEXAS!
