Cody's Crew takes a page out of Bob the Builder's construction plans in The Big Building, right down to the rough-and-tumble rock theme music. At the big building site, crotchetiness is contagious. When they're not spinning their wheels or making false starts, this gang's sneering at somebody else's mess. Eventually, Mitch the dump truck, Barry the bulldozer, Rachel the skid steer, and the rest come around, but only after excavator Cody corrals them for a lesson in cooperation. Computer animation gives this program a crispness that will help build a following among construction buffs aged 2 to 6, but until this team starts hammering out more substantial stories, Bob's got them beat in the popularity department. --Tammy La Gorce

IT IS WONDERFUL! We loved it! Using construction vehicles for the characters is the ultimate for kids, they just eat that stuff up. Also, the video has a very clear and strong lesson. Which should be a major part of the purpose for letting kids watch videos. It clearly shows kids that tasks at hand can be completed more productively through organization, cooperation and planning. So many kids videos are empty or try to teach a lesson but are not clear enough. This video clearly delivers the point.
We also loved the fact that despite the fact the characters were working on a noisy construction site, there were moments of quiet, and voices were lowered with soft music which presents a great contract and prevents kids from getting wound up and loosing the message. We also chuckled at some of the antics of some of the characters.

Thank you so much for the video, we will treasure it.

Cody's Crew is a gentle story that appeals to my 2-year old and my 7-year old. My 7-year likes the story because she recognizes and appreciates the message about working together to accomplish something. My 2-year old enjoys the music, the graphics and the characters. The humour is appropriate for kids of all ages. If you can measure the success of a kids' video by how often it's watched, then Cody's Crew is a hit in our household!

This is one video your children will watch over & over again. It has become a favorite of ours for construction theme videos. Bob the Builder has been put back on the shelf and forgotten about for now. I even caught Grampa intensely and actively watching along; which if you knew Grampa...you'd have to see it to believe it. He thoroughly enjoyed it even if he won't admit it.
