1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother to spend your money., November 3, 2003
By Kristin Martin "crimsoncat" (Las Vegas, NV United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought two of these stereos for presents last year. They fell apart by June (CD players quit working, tuners began to short out). I have been trying to contact Emerson for a copy of the warranty for four months, but have not received the courtesy of a reply.

1.0 out of 5 stars Total piece o' ....., August 16, 2003
By "buckman31" (Booneville, MS United States) - See all my reviews
To echo some other reviewers, my unit skips terribly on the cds it will even play. Also, the motor to open the cd door on top isn't strong enough. After about a month of use it became manually operated. Don't waste your money

2.0 out of 5 stars Wrong Noise From a Stereo, December 19, 2002
By Elise Saadi (Phoenix, AZ USA) - See all my reviews
I love the look of my stereo, and it has worked fine for me for the first few months of owning it. BUT... now the fan in the back is making such a funny noise that I cannot hear the music. I do not know why the fan is all of a sudden making a sickly noise after only 3 months of occassional use and of course it happens right after the 90 day manufacturer's warranty runs out.
