This versatile fishing tool sports a 405SX single beam fishfinder, and includes 160 vertical pixels and temperature, and water surface temperature variation, to help you find even more fish. Its big 3 x 4 inch, high contrast FSTN display provides clear viewing at angles and in low light situations, and the 4-level grayscale monitor reveals greater underwater detail and maximizes bottom, fish, and structure definition. The Total Screen Update feature updates your bottom image as the depth changes range.

Installation is easy with the 405SX's exclusive Quick Connect & Tilt Swivel mount, which lets you mount the device with no cables to plug in.

You'll also get selectable "Fish ID" target identification, which lets you identify fish targets & their depth or view sonar data. In contrast to the other reviews, I actually own and use this unit and have absolutely no complaints. It operates flawlessly and would recommend the unit for someone who is looking for a less expensive sonar option for their boat.

The prior review is right on. I purchased a 400 tx a few years ago. It never worked quite right, but I thought it was the installation. I finally determined that it was the unit. I sent it in for service for $75. When it came back, it did not work right, although it was a different problem. After 90 days, Humminbird would not touch it without another $75, even though it Humminbird's repair caused the problem. Stick with a company that stands behind its products.

I am not writing a review for this exact product, but am for a similar one. It failed because of a plastic part that broke. Humminbird will not allow me to purchase a replacement part. The only concession they will make is that if I ship the unit to them they will repair it at approximately 50% of replacement cost. I consider that a bum deal and totally unacceptable. Because of their failure to provide even a minimum level of decent product service I've bought my last Humminbird product.
