Whether you're primarily focused on television or music, it would be hard to deny the perfection of Axion's ACN-5410 for use in dormitories, apartments, RVs, boats, and camp sites. This compact, lightweight, boombox-like unit sports a CD player, an FM/AM tuner, and a 4-inch color TV with a perfectly flat liquid-crystal display (LCD).

A telescopic antenna aids in securing good reception, and the set also features a standard composite-video input with an accompanying stereo (left/right) RCA audio jack (yellow/white/red terminals). This means you'll be able to listen to music, watch TV, or watch everything from camcorder footage to DVD and VHS footage, depending on your external media source. Game consoles and MP3 players would also fit here.

The ACN-5410 comes with AC and DC power adapters for use in either home or vehicle. It runs on 9 D Alkaline batteries (not included), either alkalines or rechargeables, with a dedicated charging switch for recharging the latter.

The speakers are powered by 1.5 watts per channel (x 2), and each uses a 3-inch woofer and .5-inch high-frequency driver. The set offers a stereo headphone jack for private listening using supplied headphones.

This is something I have been waiting for years. In fact, even had a business plan to manufacture travel companions of this sort. True to what it means, the TV has a crystal clear LCD panel and CD music with AM/FM radio. For the sight-seeing soul in everyone it is a wonderful companion during lonely hours and soporific stretches in a long-awaited vacation. Warning! try not to take this into the jungles ! It will turn out to be one lifeless companion !!
