4.0 out of 5 stars And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, February 13, 2002
By Chris (Atlanta, GA USA) - See all my reviews
Judging from Kyle Piercey's review, you should DEFINITELY go out and buy this band's music...

5.0 out of 5 stars Trail of Dead Continues to Rock Hard, February 26, 2002
By opiate96 (chicago, il United States) - See all my reviews
You know, The Trail of Dead is definately a band that's not for idiots, like Kyle. Creed and Nickelback? Come on! That is exactly what this band is against and they show it. Their songs are complex dark and melodic, but still have that indie rock feel. The vocals are smart, and they're not a coorporate tool. Screw Fred Durst. Also, if you've ever seen this band live, you'd be a true believer. They bring the house down and you'll also need to watch out for flying instruments. Kyle can't even spell.

5.0 out of 5 stars The most exciting new thing in Rock., January 26, 2002
By Peter Rankin (Hunter River, PEI, Canada) - See all my reviews
After i had learned that Trail of Dead had signed with Interscope, i was very afraid. I mean, Madonna is one of my favorite albums, but on Interscope, i was afraid that the artistic vision of Trail of dead would be tarnished, and tracks featuring Fred Durst would soon follow. How wrong i was. This single is phenomenal, and it sticks true to the Trail of Dead creed, but at the same time is going in a new direction. Trail of dead have learned how to turn down their guitars every once and awhile. Don't get me wrong, i love a Perfect Teenhood-esque guitar riot, but most of their strongest songs are slow movers, or songs that experiment with strings and pianos, which have now become heavy staples in Trail of Dead's new music. Anyway, it's fantastic. If you want refreshing new American music, don't look towards the overhyped rich kids, The Strokes(although they are a pretty damn good band, just not Trail of Dead good). Look to the masters of chaos, The Trail of Dead.
