5.0 out of 5 stars An album equally as monumental as its title., August 19, 2008
Bumblefoot = Humblefoot!

9.11. A day many, many people around the world will remember for the rest of their lives. Considering Ron is from NYC, he is/was undoubtedly someone affected a little more. The fact that he decided to give all proceeds from this album to disaster relief really says something about the man. Far from a musician who's "rolling in the dough," I can think of many other musicians who probably could've afforded to do such a thing a little more comfortably... and didn't, but that's neither here nor there.

His humbleness and humanity aside, this album is right up there with containing some of my favorite Ron Thal material. Fly In The Batter (which has an amazing pre-chorus vocal part in it), Lost (one of the most dizzying guitar parts I've ever heard), Raygun (awesome usage of fretless), Don Pardo Pimpagon (which contains a guest guitar solo by Mattias Eklundh), and Guitars SUCK (Ron definitely set a new standard for guitarists with this all-out instrumental) all stick out immediately in my head when I think of this album. The stuff this guy can do on guitar is incredible... let alone what he can do on a fretless! The man is an incredible musician. Once again, this is Ron mixing his incredible instrumentals with his incredible composition.

Don't pass this album up. It's an incredible display of musicianship. Not to mention, you couldn't be supporting a better guitarist. He's got the chops and talent to have an ego the size of the cosmos yet he's one of the most humble musicians I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The fact that his music has a boatload of substance is icing on the cake.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another amazing album from Bumblefoot, August 22, 2004
By Jonathan Foreman (Washington, DC USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Bumblefoot does it again with another amazing album showcasing his creative composing, arranging, singing and shredding skills. This album is noteworthy for an abundance of fretless guitar thereby furthering the amazingly wide variety of sounds Bumbelfoot is able to generate on his axe. There is also an excellent guest solo by Mattias Eklundh.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eclectic & experimental Bumblefoot, November 23, 2001
By Marc Rouillard (Angers, France) - See all my reviews
Once again, mister Bumblefoot (formerly known as Ron Thal :) surprises us with this half-instrumental, half-sang CD.

Wether you already know Bumblefoot or you just love music when it is composed and performed with heart and soul, just buy it and be prepared to experience a musical trip that will cross all boundaries!

PS: sorry for the poor english, I'm french...
