Every once in a while you've gotta give the big purple guy his props, and on You Can Be Anything he earns them. Here's a full 46 minutes of the saccharine-sweet singing, dancing, and playing along we see every day on the TV series, pulled together pleasingly under a What-do-you-want-to-be-when-you-grow- up banner. Firefighters, rock stars, and veterinarians factor in with predictable prominence (the better to keep preschoolers pie-eyed) and a couple of detours to sing the praises of mac and cheese and keeping your sneezes to yourself don't detract from the occupational rainbow. The "I Love You" song caps off a daydream-inducing show that's a keeper, even by purple dino-detractor standards. --Tammy La Gorce

My 2-yr old son watches this video more than Shrek! The tunes are easy for him to remember and dance to. From Twinkle Little Star to Grandpa's Farm, he just can't seem to get enough of it. I just need to get another before this one breaks.

My 2-year-old Barney fan loves almost everything about this video. The "Down on Grandpa's Farm" song is the same tune as "We Like the Shapes" from her first Barney video and she was thrilled that she already knew it - as well as "What I Want to Be" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in outer space! She also loves the cute "Keep Your Sneeze to Yourself" sequence at the veterinarian's office, and the "Mac & Cheese" song, since that's her favorite food! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because she really loses interest in the rock & roll sequence at the end. I think one song would've been enough, but they do two rock songs in a row and she actually walks away - then comes back when they finish! That and she also asks where Baby Bop is -it would've been nice to include her.

My little son is 2 years old and he is fascinating about barney's videos. This video is specially good for kids like my son. I'm impressed about his attention to this video.
