Salt Lake 2002 features six official events, authentic Olympic environments, single- and multiplayer modes, detailed graphics, and TV-style presentation. The six official events are Men's Alpine Skiing Downhill, Ladies' Alpine Skiing Slalom, Men's Two-Man Bobsleigh, Women's Freestyle Skiing Aerials, Men's Ski Jumping K120 Individual, and Men's Snowboard Parallel Giant Slalom. The game includes a variety of single- and multiplayer game modes, including Olympic, classic, tournament, and freeform. Every event and its environment has been authentically modeled and reproduced. 1.0 out of 5 stars Be Careful!, February 2, 2002
By Schmidty (Jacksonville, Florida United States) - See all my reviews
Don't buy this game without renting it first! I have only a few problems with this game. First is that its too complicated. It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to start the game. Second is that it takes too long to play. You start an event, it lasts 10 seconds, then you're waiting 5 minutes for it to load back to the main menu. The graphics are good, but the controls aren't specific enough. This is just some advice, maybe you will have a different opinion than mine. I'm just really glad that i rented it for 5 dollars, rather than buying it and not liking it for 50 dollars.

1.0 out of 5 stars As in the words of a smart man...THIS GAME SUX, February 2, 2002
Ok, well...saw this one at the video store and said to myself...Hmm, looks good to me. So I decided to give it a go. I was in dismay as I looked at the number of events there were. Six...SIX EVENTS! To me this is simply not enough. What happened to the good ole days of many events on an olympic game that required you to do button taps until your fingers bled. I miss those days. But we are given this, hideous excuse for an Olympic Sim. Do yourself a favor and go get Dance Dance Revolution and do some actual physical exercise. And its fun too.

1.0 out of 5 stars Losey game, February 2, 2002
By Joe (Salt Lake City, Ut) - See all my reviews
Hey, I live in SLC and this game blows! The game play is verry poor. The scenery is not acurate at all. It looks nice and sounds great but this should not have the Olympic stamp on it.
If you want a good winter game, play ssx tricky!

Salt Lake 2002 is not a bad game, but it isn't good either. The graphics are excellent, but some of the events are bad. Bobsleigh, and skiing aren't bad but the others are. Read more
