Product Description
Discovered by MA's Todd Garfinkle playing in the Metro in Paris, the members of Formatia Valea Mare all come from the same village in Moldava named, of course, Valea Mare. While in Romania, they all held other jobs (mostly in agriculture), but still played at weddings, births, and funerals. The brass band tradition in Valea Mare started around 1850, with the original members teaching their children how to play the various instruments, all handed down from grandfather, to son, to grandson.
