Product Description

Editorial Review

Aunt Agatha has died and left you and 15 of her other relatives a fortune. Unfortunately, you have to go to her mansion to try to collect the money without getting "bumped off" by your greedy kin. Players move around the board (the mansion) trying to avoid pitfalls and trying to trap their opponents as they escape the house with the inheritance. A certain amount of bluffing and strategy makes this creepy game fun for older players, making for a perfect family game. 1313 Dead End Drive, for two to four players, comes with a game board, 5 traps, 16 pawn stands, 4 clips, 48 cards, 2 parts sheets, a pair of dice, and a decorative label sheet. Playing time is approximately one hour. Some assembly is required. --M. Sullivan

Product Description

For 2 to 4 players

A re-release of the popular 13 Dead End Drive Board Game, 1313 Dead End Drive has just as much haunting and mystery as the first game. Dear old Aunt Agatha just passed away and left behind not only a large fortune, but also a unique twist to her will. Her inheritors must escape her home at 1313 Dead End Drive to take their share of her fortune. Should the other characters be "knocked off" first, all the better for the survivors since there is more to inherit. In the 1313 Dead End Drive game, players play defense by bumping off other characters with the game boards five traps, while offensively maneuvering around the three-dimensional game board to get (their characters) out the front door. The player with the greatest inheritance (collected only by escape) wins.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't stop playing this game!!, November 15, 2002

Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
My family loves this game. Try to get out of the house before midnight. Beware of the falling armour or the steel piggy bank that slides down a chute. Move your characters or the other player's characters. Each time you set a character on a trap you draw a card. Cards can trigger traps, move characters to new rooms, or help you make an escape for the front door. When a character is out of the game, their money bags go to the next character on the will board. My 9 year old son loves to play this game. The game is so thorough, the instructions are even in color. A must buy for this Christmas!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Remake of a great game, November 18, 2002

I got the original game, 13 Dead End Drive, when it first came out. I liked the setup of the original game a little more, but this version was fun too. The same traps are included, but it seems that 3 more characters are added, as there were only 12 in the original. Pieces may be easy to loose.

5.0 out of 5 stars this game is so much fun, September 1, 2005

we used to have this game years ago and lost it. we decided to buy it again because it was the most fun game we had ever had. take the 10 years and up seriously...younger players will have a hard time understanding the rules and how to strategize to win. my 20 and 21 year old sons and their friends LOVE this game and also my 14 year old daughter. the only negative is it initially takes a long time to set up. we leave it set up all the time. overall, this is a very fun and entertaining board game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dead End Drive -- a Board Game for Everyone
7-10 year old boys in our neighborhood have been seen playing this rather than a video game. Wow, what an endorsement. Even my husband likes it. Takes some strategy.
