Amazon.com Product Description

Using the power of the Force, players assume the role of three different Attack of the Clones heroes: Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu, or Obi-Wan Kenobi. Players must wield their lightsabers in combat against the mysterious Jango Fett, the evil Count Dooku, and various other enemies from the Star Wars universe. Star Wars: Episode II, Attack of the Clones closely follows the story line of the film and will feature three modes of gameplay. First, players can ride their choice of swoop bikes, Republic fighters, and speeders in 3-D-scrolling, third-person racing. The second mode features space combat. The third mode of play involves side-scrolling lightsaber action. Twelve unique levels take gamers to various Attack of the Clones locations, such as Tatooine, Geonosis, and the streets of Coruscant.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Futuristic Experience, May 23, 2002
By John Bell (Larchmont, NY USA) - See all my reviews
Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones is a break-taking game that closely follows the outstanding move. You can play as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Mace Windu and fight against numerous enemies from the movie such as Jango Fett, Zam Wesell, Count Dooku, and several other baddies from the movie. There are two distinct modes of play: sidescrolling lightsaber action or 3D racing/combat levels. All 12 of these levels are top-notch well-designed levels with incredible complexity. The levels from the movie include Tatooine, Asteriod Fields, Geonois, and Coruscant and you can control speeders, Republic gunships, and Jedi starfighters. Plus, you can pick up different kinds of power-ups that can increase your jumping ability, fire power, speed, etc.

The graphics and sound in this game are nothing short of perfect. THQ's 3D levels are mind-blowing because it feels like you are in the vehicle dodging asteroids and avoiding enemy fire. As for side-scrolling levels, camera angles are just right, you are center stage, you can see enemies from a safe distance and the angle gives you enough time to pick up enemies that are sneaking up behind you. And you can't forget about the amazing cutscenes from the movie that you can see in between levels. Scenes are digitized and they look perfect with the high capability color of Game Boy Advance's LCD screen. The background music contains a lot of the songs from the movie and the superb sound effects make the game even more realistic.

All in all, this game is a must-buy if you like the movie. It is perfect for fans of all ages because it's not too hard or frustrating for young kids but older people will like it too because it's difficult to master.

4.0 out of 5 stars the good and the bad, June 23, 2002
A Kid's Review
This game to me could have been better. It definately could use a save button. The enemies are pretty easy to beat except there are so many of them.I would recommend this game to anyone who likes Star Wars. And if you get a lot of time to play your game.
I do like this game quite a bit. The levels are pretty good(graphics and gameplay) and pretty hard to beat. I would rate the hardness of this game at 4 1/2 stars. I also like how they organized the levels. Including 3 flying levels and 8 Ground levels. But you only get to use Mace Windu once.

1.0 out of 5 stars I did not enjoy this game, November 13, 2005
A Kid's Review
Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Don't get me wrong I am a diehard Star Wars fan, yet to me this game was a huge suckfest. The side scrolling adventure and the horrible graphics further retard the game. The music sounds as if John Williams had no role in it. The story line (if any) to the movie was no where nearly followed, and the title cards that explain the plot bored me into into oblivian. I also did not enjoy the fact that if I got to Level 9 and felt like stopping I would lose all of data from before. I even tried to write down all of the pass codes, but by the time i was done playing and writing my batteries had died. This was just another example of Lucas Arts trying to milk the Star Wars franchise. The game was horrible and not even worth the lint in my pocket.
