Product Description
Episode 96 - Fight With Piccolo: Gohan and Krillin reach Kami's Lookout, but come face to face with Garlic Jr.'s new watchdog -- Piccolo! With Piccolo infected with the Black Water Mist and Kami and Mr. Popo suspended in glass bottles, Garlic Jr. relaxes and allows his Spice Boys to "have sport" with the Earth's last defenders. Will Spice's energy blast finish off Krillin for good and what ending has Piccolo planned for Gohan?
Episode 97 - Call For Restoration
Gohan continues to suffer Piccolo's brutal stranglehold. Krillin, already injured from a serious Spice Boys beating, makes an attempt to free Kami and Mr. Popo, but also falls prey to the Black Water Mist. Now Gohan must face both Krillin and Piccolo! Gohan is the only one left to save the earth, but can he do it with his two best friends against him?
Episode 98 - Suicidal Course
Piccolo and Krillin spring their previous plot, reveal that they have only pretended to be infected with the Black Water Mist! Kami and Mr. Popo are released from their glass prisons and break for the Sacred Water. Enraged, Garlic Jr. transforms using the energy of the Makyo Star and warns that the Sacred Water's effectiveness will soon expire. Will Kami and Mr. Popo make it in time? Can Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan defend against Garlic Jr's increasingly powerful forces much longer?

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad at all, July 23, 2000
A Kid's Review
Even though the Garlic Jr Saga is nothing compared to the Frieza Saga it doesn't mean it is bad. This saga is probably the most interesting one. I knew exactly what to expect in the Trunks Saga. Gohan kicks some but in this video. Garlic Jr has a bad laugh. The Spice Boys seem strange, but don't get me wrong that doesn't mean they are weak. Krillin was pathetic in this video. Vegeta continues his search for Goku. Piccolo shows no mercy to Gohan. The last episode was a surprise. This is worth getting.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not The Greatest., September 2, 2000
I suppose some people who are into DBZ will like any tape that comes out but this one was just kind of boring. The action wasn't the best and the villian just wasn't as threatening as some of the others you have seen on DBZ. This was lacking the normal DBZ content where you get to really know characters, Garlic Jr. was just proved to be annoying. Even when Vegita was fighting in the Saiyan Saga you had to say "He's pretty cool..." or like with Freeza you just hated him so much you wanted him to die but with Garlic Jr it's just boring.

3.0 out of 5 stars A rather boring, filler saga..., July 10, 2000
By "mattiaszero" (London, Ontario Canada) - See all my reviews
This saga was really short, lasting only a couple of episodes. Although it was kinda nice to see a lot more action with Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin, because Goku had just defeated the previously strongest fighter in the universe.

The plot needed some more development, and you won't really know much about Garlic Jr. unless you view the film "Dead Zone", which explains a lot about his past and why he wants revenge on Gohan.

Otherwise, this saga is okay, for the Trunks saga follows this one.
