The first phone we received was defective so Amazon
shipped out another one. This phone has a very large
caller id display and is loaded with features. The buttons
are large and easy to read. The programming instructions
were simple to understand and the handset is very comfortable.
It's also a very sharp looking phone that can be
used as a wall model or a desk model.
If you need a corded phone, you can't go wrong with this one.

This phone has great looks, some nice functions like:

1- Caller ID
2- 10 one touch memories
3- Call back button
(there is why the 3 stars)

BUT, the speaker phone is not really good, if you are alone, in complete silence, you will hear it, but if you're in your home or office with "some" noise, pick up the hand set, you will be screaming "what?? what did you say? Sorry, come again?...". Also, you cannot set the date and time, this is automatically set with the Caller ID service, so if you are using an analog line or if you don't have the CID service, the date/time function is useless. Finally, I had to change the handset cord, the one that comes with the phone is so short you will be picking up the whole phone if you are standing and your phone is on a low desk or place.

I love my new phone! It has so many features, looks great, works wonderfully, and didn't cost me very much. You couldn't ask for a better deal.

"The PMG-55 is an attractive desk-style telephone with Caller ID and built-in speakerphone. On the desk or on the wall, the PMG-55 with fully integrated Caller ID allows the user to avoid unwanted calls and keeps a record of who has called, including the time and date of their call. The PMG-55 keeps a record of the last 55 callers, and shows both the telephone number and the name of the calling party, when those services are available (and subscribed to) from the local telephone company.
