this product would probably be fine if you connected it and left it alone. I disconnected mine a couple of times, and the prongs break off very easily if you're not right on the target when reconnecting. I'm looking for a new cable.

I use this to connect my laptop to my tv mostly for movies. I have had this for more than 6 months now and used it in my dorm where it is connected and disconnected very frequently. It works very well though I it could be a bit longer but 6 feet seems to be a fairly standard length. I do not have an high definition tv so I do not know how it works with those. The connection looks like it would last and the wire seems durable as well.

The cable works well but be careful. I easily managed to break one of the pins inside the plug. The fact that it still work confounds me.
