30th Anniversary concert is unmatchable, July 20, 2002
What do you say about the most "famed" band for doing concerts? This is it! Yes, they do many of their songs spanning the 30 years of Rock and Roll, and yes they can do more songs, but just listen and enjoy what they have put together for the 30th anniversary concert. I saw this concert when it was here in Chicago and the teenagers who joined my sons, stopped in their tracks to hear the perfect harmony and soft tones when the 4 seasons performed the "Do Wop" songs, "Remember When", "Sunday Kind of Love" and "Blue Moon". This caused them to stand around and literally got knocked for a loop when they heard the 4 Seasons sing "Silence is Golden". The soft and smooth rendition relaxed these teens, who couldn't believe these guys were singing "LIVE". They only saw groups who worried more about dancing and doing special effects while lip singing rather then entertain their audience with refined talent. All of this was caught for your enjoyment on this DVD. The only down side I saw about this conert they recorded was that the crowd at this concert took half the concert to loosen up before they got into it. Their loss! If you want a better crowd, get a copy of the "20th Anniversary concert" This crowd was loose and it showed and played well on the recording. However, the concert can only be found on VHS. This is a plead for the 4 Seasons to put this, "20th Anniversary", on DVD for better enjoyment. This tape has also been sold as "Frankie Valli - Hits from the 60's" I hope this helps you decide to buy this part of Rock and Roll history. I now sit and wait for the 40th anniversary concert which comes here in August. I hope they will again entertain us and put it on DVD for all to see. Frankie is now in his middle 60's and I know there won't be too many more conerts left, unless he can pull a Tony Bennett. So buy this for something to pass down to the generations like we do with Elvis. For Frankie Valli is the "King of Falsettos".

What's with that audience???, January 9, 2007
I bought this video on a lark... I was looking for video to exercise by while on my treadmill. The production was good and Mr. Valli was giving it his all, but "oh, that audience!" They seemed to be in a comatose state... showed no enthusiasm for the music. Where did they get those people??? At a funeral home??? Anyway, the songs brought back all my teenaged memories and the video was a good addition to my "oldies" collection. I would recommend it to anyone who sang along with those songs on their transistor radios! It will bring back tons of memories of those days.

Wow... This is NOT what I expected....., January 15, 2006
Being a HUGE 4 Seasons fan, I thought this would be a great dvd to have - all the guys, live!! WRONG ! Apparently, Frankie Valli now owns the name "The 4 Seasons" and that is what his back up singers are referred to!! They are just a bunch of guys! I'm not saying they're aren't accomplished musicians & singers, etc..etc but they are not the guys who sang & performed all those wonderful hits so many years ago. I was hoping that I could "go back"...but you cannot. Whadda ya gonna do.
