Biography

C-Murder is the younger brother of Master P, the founder and president of No Limit Records. That explains his membership in the No Limit family, the label where nepotism rules, but he's actually one of the stronger rappers on the label. He may stick to the predictable gangsta musical blueprint, but as a rapper, he had an original style and interesting wordplay that separated him from the No Limit… Read more in Amazon's C-Murder Store

5.0 out of 5 stars C Murder is back! This tyme, with his own style., April 30, 2002
By Bjorn Tornerhag (Eskilstuna, Sweden) - See all my reviews
He is the owner of the new label TRU Records, the new compilation TRU Dawgs include's the whole TRU Records Family.Ok, the 1rst on is an intro, but very tight beat!next track "Im a baller" T-Bo is layin down the best lyrics on this one, good beat, it's a hit seeker!"Aint no ..." You wil skip this track,Feat.Snopp Dogg.Storm is back on "Aint no ..." tight beat and good lyrics."Water whipped" with Soulja Slim and Cut Roat Comitty, the beat is hard, and so the lyrics.Master P showing u "Where the party at" Also with Krazy, Silkk, Lil Romeo, a typical Nolimit beat."This or dat" with C Murder and Keala, It's good, C got that eastcoast style on this one, nice beat."Respect my mind" with T-Bo, ok! Its the best track of the whole album, tight beat, good verse!"They wanna pay for it" with Mia x, it's gonna be on radio i think, ... tight."TRU Dawgs" with Wango, ok, its good, but the man must learn how to rap better."That aint right" with Currency, this man is very tight, the beat is good, also the sound."Soulja Down" tight beat with undergrouns sound, good lyrics by Tre-Nitty."Whats the reason" Keala got a nice voice, u can sleep to this one."Front line homies" with Bizzy Bone, I like this one, soft beat with good lyrics."Got it on my mind" Junie Bezel is good, but the beat aint, skip this one!"How a thug n***** like dat" feat, JD and Da Brat, its like the old track of trapped in crime album, but longer, its good. The Bonus track "Betya" with C Murder contains a very tight beat, i think he's dissin someone, i dont know?Good Work to C Murder! -This is a must buy album from C Murder, if u like Cp3.Com, you'll like this better, it has the same style, but this tyme with the whole roster of the TRU Empire!

5.0 out of 5 stars c-murder's finally on track, October 24, 2002
By adil ali (minneapolis, usa) - See all my reviews
I have revised my opinion of this CD. On a first listen I thought it was worth 4 stars, but I have changed my mind. It is worth 4.5 which gets rounded to 5. C-Murder's has a wide variety of appearances from P, Silkk, Bizzy Bone, Keith Murray, Jrmaine Dupri, Da Brat, Snoop, Doggy's angels and more. This is one of C's best works since Life or Death. It was released 6 months after C-P-3.COM, and it sold slightly better. I don't have many complaints. That song with siblings P and Silkk should be removed and the diss track could have been better, even though he showed Mystikal and Juvenile who runs New Orleans!
Its good to hear some of C's new artists like T-BO, Currensy, and Storm. What I found interesting was that Mac, who was supposed to be in prison, aooeared on the album. If you liked Tru Dawgs, I think you might also like Mac's Wolrd War 3.
