5.0 out of 5 stars Du bonbon, July 3, 2003
By Jean-Loup Lansac (Montréal, Québec Canada) - See all my reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars The new generation of French inteligent songwriting, October 12, 2004
By S. Maruta (Bristol, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Very good first album by Delerm, who manages to conjure in his songs the atmosphere of Nouvelle Vague movies, the moment of terrible solitude after breaking up when you find something left behind by someone you didn't want to go, or a vision of Paris (and suburbs, as in the song Chatenay Malabry) so full of melancholy that you would expect it to have come from someone much older. The sepia-tinted glasses still let a lot of humour through and the beautiful literary sensitivity of the writing echoes Delerm's own father's (the writer Philippe Delerm).
