I happened to come accross this when browsing the Tzadik Records (prop. John Zorn) website (www.tzadik.com)and it looked interesting - part of the Radical Jewish Culture series. As soon as I first played it I knew that here is a real talent - excellent playing, melodic and moving, encompassing a Jewish 'feel' in a modern setting. Very highly recommended. I've just ordered her "Live at Yoshi's" CD too (on Avant) and can't wait to hear it.

Instrumental compositions with strong klezmer and jazz elements, this music is challenging, passionate, and accessible.
