If only this had been in our toolbox a year ago when we struggled to install a suspended ceiling in the basement. This little guy puts out an actual laser line vertically, horizontally, or at any angle. It's wonderfully simple and dead-on accurate. Just position the alignment notch with the guidance of the dual bubble levels, push the tabs to anchor the self-retracting pushpins, and raise the lens cover for hands-free accuracy. The recessed rubber grip offers sure handling, but this tool also sports an impact-resistant body, just in case. Hardly bigger than a 25-foot measuring tape, this tool will tuck nicely into any toolbox and serve decorators, builders, remodelers, and do-it-yourselfers equally well. It doesn't come with batteries, so have two AAs on hand.
