The sound is excellent for a boom box, and the fit, finish and feel of the unit is tops. My only criticism is that both the remote and the unit are a bit skimpy on the number of buttons, only the minimum number are on the unit. The remote is sufficient, but you will have to read the manual to figure out all of the functions.

The system is very good in sound

but

don't use them outdoor during winter it does not work when it's cold.

blasting the volume makes CD jump due to vibrations

8 size "D" battery don't last long

scratch easy

just be sure you don't drop them accidentally - it's not worth it to fix em
