Easy to use and rich in features and functionality, this unit lets you listen to your tapes, CDs, or the radio anywhere you happen to be with a sound that is surprisingly full and rich from a player of this size.

The CFD-E75's CD player is CD-R and CD-RW compatible, so you can play CD compilations recorded on your computer, and it has 20-track RMS programming that lets you pre-program up to 20 tracks from a compact disc to play in any order. This top-loading CD player has a frequency response of 20-20,000Hz to -2dB, and a one-bit digital-to-analog audio converter that provides for more accurate playback and a more natural, distortion-free CD sound.

The four-track, two-channel stereo tape system on the CFD-E75 provides direct recording from the AM/FM tuner or the CD player, and lets you play back your own cassettes in addition to pre-recorded tapes. Synchronized CD-to-cassette dubbing automatically starts compact disc play when cassette recording begins.

The boombox's digital-synthesized AM/FM stereo tuner provides accurate drift-free tuning of AM and FM radio stations, and lets you choose from the wide variety of radio talk shows and music programs with the added enjoyment of stereo sound. This unit has 20 station-memory presets (10 AM and 10 FM) that use electronic settings for easy one-button tuning to your choice of stations.

The CFD-E75 is equipped with a 10-key direct remote control for convenient access to the unit's compact disc player, AM/FM tuner, volume and power. This portable audio system features an enhanced clock and timer function that lets you fall asleep or wake up to music from a CD or the radio, and displays the current time. A four-pattern electronic sound mode provides an EQ display on the LCD screen, allowing you to select an appropriate sound-adjustment setting for listening to a variety of different types of music. The Mega Bass sound system produces rich, deep, bass tones for more powerful overall sound, while the digital filter's eight-times over sampling maintains audio clarity from the system's two four-inch stereo speakers. The CFD-E75 also features a stereo mini-jack output for headphones so you can listen to music in privacy. This stereo player runs on six D batteries (not included) for music, which provides approximately 20 hours of radio, 15 hours of cassette playback, or 7 hours of CD play at 80-percent volume (using Sony alkaline batteries. This unit also requires three AA batteries (not included) for clock and alarm memory, as well as two AA batteries (not included) for the remote.
