Product Description
A compact, high-performance home theater speaker system from Cambridge SoundWorks combining the compact New Ensemble® III subwoofer/satellite system, Center Channel II and Center/Surround IV surround speakers. The complete system is timbre-matched for perfect tonal balance, and excels in playing music or movie soundtracks.
Compatible with all home amplifiers, this small enclosure system is easily installed and brings real home theater sound superior to similarly priced larger systems. Unlike most speaker systems in its price range which use single-driver cube satellite speakers, The New Ensemble III Home Theater System offers compact 2-way satellites. Their small size affords them many placement options, and they are easily wall-mounted.
New Ensemble III's new larger subwoofer cabinet is made of resonance-resistant MDF board and contains dual voice coils, one for each stereo channel. It's mounted in a sealed, acoustic suspension cabinet and fires into a tuned bandpass cavity that filters out high frequencies. This produces bass far better than comparably priced systems.
Center Channel II is a low profile two-way acoustic suspension speaker. It offers wide dispersions and smooth tonal balance, and its compact size and shielding allow it to be placed either below or above a TV.
The system includes two ultra-compact Center/Surround IV speakers which can be placed literally anywhere -- on bookshelves, mantles or or hung on a wall. These satellites incorporate a unique wide-range, long throw 3-inch driver capable of reproducing low notes down to 150Hz.
