Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover
In a world of blood, blackmail and stolen body parts, a group of ruthless gangsters have a huge global opportunity; the only thing stopping them is Martha the government's star witness. This dynamite deal will transform them into underworld kings; if they can just get her out of the way in 24 hours. Christian, the Zen mastermind, Bubbles, the ruthless assassin and Tony, the American lowlife, are the leaders of an army of hip henchmen. Lusting for power they're launching a full scale attack, starting at police headquarters and quickly exploding throughout the city in a calculated circus of carnage. With its hard driving soundtrack, awesome Hong Kong style action, and an incredible cast of outrageous characters, "24 Hours in London" is a super cool way to spend your time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Time, November 26, 2002
By matt (Colorado Springs, CO United States) - See all my reviews
Unlike Guy Ritchie's films, which seem to come together as the plot builds, this film falls apart as the story progresses. The characters are not convincing at all (horrid horrid acting). Some of the roles don't make any sense...The jokes are lame. It does not have that sense of tounge in cheek hipness that rolls through Lock Stock and Snatch.

With no attatchment to any of the characters in the story, the plot unfolds rather tepidly, since all of the acton is just redundancy. The gangsters don't even look intimidating, Bubbles (the womanizing sex fiend) looks more like a woussy effminate disco clown, Tony the american mobster looks and sounds more like someone who wants to be a gangster, rather than a James Gandolfini type. The main villian is almost laughable and his serious monologue moments (why he uses a sword, for instance) seem so silly that it would have been better if he didn't talk at all.

As more plot twists are thrown in at the end, the plot holes actually get alot worse, rather than come together....

I only bought this because I was high and it looked like a cool video game thing on the cover. Unfortunitally it was one of the worst movies ever, but what the hell I'll just break it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not Over Rated !!!!!!!!!!, March 26, 2005
By Player420 (Smokey valley, British Columbia, Canada) - See all my reviews
This film is about Two thugs turned business Gangster in Englands Crime world. They have a crew of men and women who sadistically carry out there dirty work and as per a deal to become parteners with an american Crime figure they are taking out all of there competion, the russions, and two other gangs of crooks that have been getting uppity, throw in a couple of medical practioners sedating and selling body organs on the human market and all kinds of comical action and what you end up with is an awsome action movie that takes place over 24 hours in london.

If you have seen either "Hard Men"(Ross Boatman, Vincent Regan, Lee Ross), or "Lock Stock And Two smoking barrels"(Jason Stratham-of'the Transpoter', Jason Flemyng-of 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen')You will Know that them Brits' can knock up some super classic movies!!!
