Born in Kansas City, MO and based in Los Angeles, California, Carol Duboc has written and arranged hit songs for artists such as Patti LaBelle, George Duke, Chante Moore, Stephanie Mills, and many others. Carol wrote and arranged "Precious", the title track on Chante Moore's gold CD as well as "Never Do You Wrong", a top 10 single for Stephanie Mills, songs on Patti LaBelle's gold certified "Gems" CD, and on Jade's platinum certified "Jade To The Max" recording, plus many others.

Carol's anticipated sophomore CD entitled "Duboc" is smooth, sexy, soulful and live and features the single "This Is No Ordinary Love." Produced and arranged by Carol, "Duboc" features guest performances by Hubert Laws, Gerald Albright, Patrice Rushen, Jeff Lorber and many others.

Carol Duboc is my favorite new jazz vocalist. I heard her song "This Is No Ordinary Love" on the radio, and I bought the new CD "Duboc". I was blown away. Her voice is so clear and sexy. The songs are incredible. Each one is different from the other. It is hard to believe that someone who looks like that can write and sing like that.

I highly recommend 'Duboc' to lovers of smooth, sophisticated and sexy female jazz vocalists. Carol's range is astonishing, and this CD wonderfully demonstrates her evolving talents and intelligent, emotional interpretation of the material. 'Duboc' places Carol firmly at the top of her genre, right up there with Sade, Anita Baker, Patti LaBelle and other better known but not necessarily more talented contemporaries. The fact that she's also an award winning composer and lyricist helps to explain her obvious understanding of the complex themes that she expresses so beautifully with her voice.

Fantabulous cd..this is my first encounter with Carol Duboc; fabulous variety of themes and rhythms..great rendition of the Burt Bacharach's oldie: " Anyone who had a heart'; Get out the brie cheese, your favorite vino and share this cd with that special someone. It is a special cd to have in your colection!
