Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com
Yes, Aaron Carter's voice has cracked on his third album, but that's not the whole story here. Another Earthquake finds the teen-pop star shedding the simple melodies of his previous releases in favor of a more grownup sound that's informed equally by Nelly's insistent rap grooves ("My First Ride") and Limp Bizkit's infectious new-metal riffs ("Another Earthquake"). Carter has come a long way from the puerile "Aaron's Party (Come Get It)," but his childlike charm remains firmly intact on joyous amusement-park anthems like "2 Good 2 B True" and "America A O." --Jaan Uhelszki

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Album from a Great Artist, December 26, 2002
My sister is crazy about this album, and even I'm not against listening to it. Aaron Carter can really sing, and is (I know first hand) the wannabe sweet hearts of thousands of girls.

Persounally, though, I can even admire his music, and a lot of it is really fun to listen to. Why?

The songs: For one reason, I'm not someone who likes to go out and cuss out every person I meet. I've noticed Aaron never seems to cuss in his music, or get dirty. It's all good and clean, with the occasional "baccini" or "sweet lips" or whatever these lyrics contain. But nothing that really should make any parent or child say "goodness, that's a little naughty *lol*." This CD is something you can pop in for any age and everyone can enjoy. Here are the songs that I really liked, and of course, that my sister adores!

1) To All the Girls: My sister's all-time favorite. It talks about how growing up CAN be so strange, yet the friend's and relationships you make will be with you forever. It talks about the good times everybody should have, and the true friend's that'll always be there for you no matter what happends. Probably my favorite too!

2) Another Earthquake: His BIG rapping song, and it's pretty good too! Something that you can kind of get up and dance to, or rap along with, this song talks about him rocking the world with his music. I enjoyed this one as well.

3) Do you remember: I don't really care for it, but my sister sure as hech does! It talks about the good days, and when he'd do anything for this girl he loved to make her love him. It's a little romantic, and your daughter or even you (if your 14-17) might enjoy listening to. I didn't, but hey, that's just me!

Overall, if your looking for a good CD for your kid to listen too, this will definantly fit the space. It's a mature CD (meaning not kiddie), but very clean, that has good beats, and overall you could play again and again and never get tired of it. I enjoyed it my self, and my sister...she can't resist.

As for those HUGE A*C fans, this is another great album to add to your collection!

Hope this helped, and though I didn't review them, this CD has several good songs that I didn't list, and the classics that I did.

Thx!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pop CD for any fan!, January 2, 2004
By "elmogirl924" (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
I love Aaron Carter, and was very pleased with this CD. There was a much different sound to this one than Oh Aaron, Aaron's Party, and Aaron's Self-titled album. He sounds much more grown up since he has had a little more experience in knowing what his fans would respond to well. I think he did an excellent job, and I would recommend the CD to Aaron fans. Anyone who is not an Aaron fan, listen to the CD before you judge it... if you don't like it even afterwards, you are entitled to your own opinion... no one will hold it against you.
