Editorial Reviews

Berny Cosgrove & Kevin Clark, songwriters for Dream Street
"We heard his songs, and think he has a great look, fabulous voice and every chance of making it big!"

Product Description
"Something To Say" is the debut album by America's rising child star, 10-year-old vocalist Joey Pearson. Joey has a clear, strong belting voice and generates moving, inspiring renditions of a collection of 10 original songs. One is a duet sang with child actor (and Joey’s best friend), Logan O’Brien (cast of General Hospital, and this fall’s new ABC show, "That Was Then"). Mostly written by his father, this is a collection of wholesome, feel-good songs which span many styles of music - there's something for everyone. They'll make you dance, they'll make you sing, they'll make you cry. One look will tell you why many are calling Joey America's newest boy heartthrob.

5.0 out of 5 stars If I could give it 10 stars, I would, September 20, 2002
Wow, what a performance by such a young man! For an independent artist, this is a FABULOUS first effort! I must say, I'm rather enjoying indie artists over major ones.
There is a lot of unexplored talent out there, and Joey Pearson is one. But I do see him making a name for himself one day. With a voice like his, he could sing in any genre of music. The child has talent. He loves to sing, and you can hear it. And I love to hear him sing, and I find myself playing his CD daily.

I've told my friends about Joey and had them listen, and they just can't believe he's only ten! He has a lot to look forward to in the music biz. His Candle Light The Way is like One Voice to Billy Gilman. It's the song that could very well take him to the top.

And Younger Generation, what another great song, He and Logan O'Brien sing beautifully together on this one. It's a great song for the younger generation, no pun intended.

Don't Give Up, another fabulous song. I look forward to his feature albums.

Joey is the type of singer Luciano Pavoratti would be proud of.

If you think a major artist is where it's at, then you haven't heard Joey Pearson.

I highly recommend this Cd for anyone who enjoys a truly remarkable voice.

Thank you Joey Pearson for releasing such an angelic voice to share with the world.

Angel

5.0 out of 5 stars This kid's gonna be big!, July 26, 2002
By "bethanyjm" (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
Though not very known yet, I had the awesome pleasure of seeing Joey at the House Of Blues in L.A. and at Universal Studios and AGAIN at the Young Actors Awards in Hollywood! I had my picture taken with Joey and with Frankie Muniz at the Universal Walk in Universal Studios. I was so completely blown away by his voice! This kid had the audience on it's feet halfway through the first song.

I had the chance to get an early copy of this album and immediately fell in love with it! My favorite songs on it are "Younger Generation" a duet he does with Logan O'Brien (General Hospital, That Was Then on ABC). It's such an inspirational song that talks about how even smaller kids have something to say about current events. I also LOVE "Candle Light The Way", "I Know What Love Is" and "I'll Be Your Friend". The first cut, "You're Worth The Time" is a really cool upbeat pop song.

Joey is only 10 and it's hard to believe a kid of that stature can have such a powerful voice. I'm a HUGE fan of Billy Gilman and Joey Pearson is a wonderful addition to the younger generation of vocalists! LOOK OUT WORLD! You'll definitely be seeing more of this boy! THANK YOU, JOEY!

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid debut

4.0 out of 5 stars I'm quite impressed!
Joey Pearson is, in my opinion, a pretty darn good singer for his age; not the cream of the crop, but better than most 10-year-olds. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars I don't melt when he sings
It's okay for a 10 year old but not a stand out. I don't stop and say, how did he do that? His tone does sit with me well. Sounds very tinny. I think he is a bunch of hype.

3.0 out of 5 stars can carry a tune...
Joey is definitely much better than the average kid his age (and, well, let's face it--he's better than a lot of grownups, as well); but I still think he has a ways to go. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent voice, too much engineering
I enjoyed the CD, but the reverb on Joey's voice detracts from the listening experience. The kid gets a 5 for the singing, the engineers get a 1 for the poor recording.
