His House was Filled with the Swinging Sounds of the Countryside -perico Ripiao (Typical Merengue) and Bachata. "el Triste" Won a Cassandra, the Most Coveted Musical Award in the Dominican Republic and is Where Zacarias' Career Took Flight. He Became the First and Only Bachata Artist Ever to Participate in the Annual Concert Series Sponsored by El Presidente in Santo Domingo and Santiago, Sharing the Stage with Marc Anthony, Marco Antonio Solis and Los Hermanos Rosario, to Name a Few. During the Winter of 2001, He Toured for Almost Two Months in the New York Area Where Devoted Fans Formed Lines that Snaked all the Way around the Block.
