5.0 out of 5 stars Reply to Mr. Hadley, September 11, 2002
By A Customer
I am not reviewing this CD. I am merely responding to Mr. Hadley's(a previous reviewer) EXTREMELY misinformed comment that Glenn Lewis is introducing Amel Larrieux to the industry on their duet. AHHHH! People need to know and love Amel. She has been out for years! (Remember Groove Theory) She is an amazing artist with 2 CDs, and numerous guest apperances to her credit. Just thought I'd put the correct info out there. Thank you:)

5.0 out of 5 stars Barbershop, October 12, 2002
Though it lines up contemporary pop players from B2K to P. Diddy to 3LW, the soundtrack to the African American comedy, Barbershop also allows an older generation a little say.
The Staples Singers' gospel funk, "I'll Take You There," and Marvin Gaye's smoldering party tune, "Got to Give It Up (Part 1)," cap this urban set with a timeless note. Leading up to that, Ginuwine adds the sassy slow jam "Stingy"; Glen Lewis and Amel Larrieux duet on the cute beat-soul of "What's Come Over Me?"; and Ghostface Killah and Ruff Endz unite for the pretty "Love Session," a song equal parts sharp beats and soft heart.

P. Diddy and the Family strut more streetwise stuff, adding the snappy hip-hop shot "And We." But even the music-plus mogul softens up, uniting with Fabolous and Jagged Edge for the fluid, tuneful anthem, "Trade It All, Part 2."
top songs in the album:
1.Trade It All Part 2
2.What's Come Over Me?
3.Stingy
4.And We
5.Baby Girl
