5.0 out of 5 stars ROBIN TROWERS EARLY YEARS, April 18, 2009
THIS BY FAR IS PROCAL HARUMS BEST RECORDING ,ROBIN TROWER IS JUST INCRIDIBLE .I SAW PROCAL HARUM AT A POP FESTIVLE IN BROWARD COUNTY IN THE EARLY 70S. SONG FOR A DREAMER IS ABOUT JIMI AND ROBIN PROVES HE CAN PLAY JUST LIKE THE GREATEST GUITARIST EVER KNOWN.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice but no better than the less expensive import, November 27, 2003
By A Customer
A great album...and in reference to other reviews, it's great to hear the mark in time when Robin Trower starts to break loose from Procal. And to address the question of only four songs lyrics being provided; I still own the original American album release and it also contains the lyrics for same four songs also. As it was then...it is replicated now.

4.0 out of 5 stars unbalanced album, June 2, 2003
This Procol album contains some of their best stuff (simple sister, the title track, Luskus Delph) and some of their more inferior work ... and the Robin Trower tracks (song for a dreamer). It is clear from Trower's work on this album that he didn't feel at home in Procol anymore and this was indeed his last contribution to the band before embarking on a solo career.
Pity that the album suffers because of it.
The re-release with bonus tracks doesn't add a lot to the original release (a mono version of Simple Sister and Power Failure doesn't really improve in edited form).
The big mistery with this album is "why are only 4 lyrics to the original 8 songs provided"?
