About the size of a hardcover page-turner, the tuner offers a stunning total of 60 station presets (30 AM, 30 FM) with--thankfully--auto station memory setting, which the device performs on startup. The T-H300 isn't an integrated amplifier or a receiver with an amplifier built in--it's a radio, plain and simple, albeit a high-quality one.

You'll enjoy drift-free, phase-locked loop (PLL) synthesized tuning and a digital clock with a timer to help you remember your favorite programs, DJs, or other appointments. A set of stereo analog (left/right) RCA outputs channels audio from the device to your preamplifier, integrated amplifier, or surround receiver, and a supplied remote control simplifies operation while also letting you dim the tuner's blue fluorescent display.

I use this tuner at home (in my basement) and take it along on the job sometimes. If you want a selective tuner, this blows everything away I have ever used. I'm especially impressed with the FM reception in fringe conditions. I've compared this unit to a GE Superadio III, and side-by-side, the Teac wins (and I used to be a champion for GE's excellent receiver). But now, I've got a new favorite. As long as there is analog AM & FM out there, this Teac tuner is the winner.
