Product Features

  • Better, Bigger, Longer:Building on the shoulders of its critically acclaimed predecessor, Star Trek Elite Force II features a more open level design than traditional shooters by offering different solution paths to several of the game's mission objectives. Additionally, the game consists of 11 missions for the biggest Elite Force game yet.
  • Explore Strange New Worlds...:In the true spirit of Starfleet and exploration, Star Trek Elite Force II transports the player to a series of increasingly exotic outdoor locations like expansive alien landscapes and the void of space.
  • New Ship, New Faces:As a new crewman aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E players can interact with the ship's systems and fellow crewmen such as the legendary Captain Jean Luc-Picard as they repel invaders and prepare for missions.
  • Set Phasers To Frag:Players can dish out the damage with a variety of ranged weapons including improved phasers, an enhanced I-Mod and all new weapons like Romulan disrupters and a tetryon gatling gun. Melee weapons such as the Klingon Bat'Leth make their mark in multiplayer, and a fully functional Tricorder will be available for scanning and interacting with environments.
  • Lookin' Good:Sporting the latest QUAKE III: Team Arena code base, Star Trek Elite Force II features even better graphics than its predecessor. Character models and textures offer greater detail and environments are even more stunning. The QUAKE III: Team Arena engine also allows for larger outdoor environments allowing designers to create massive alien landscapes.

5.0 out of 5 stars The DEMO is OUT!!! IT IS AMAZING!!!, May 5, 2003
By Steve (Kirkland, WA USA) - See all my reviews
The graphics in Elite Force 2 are FANTASTIC!!! Out of all of the games using the Quake3 engine - these have to be the Best Graphics I have seen! The detail is second to none!! I am having a hard time writing this review because of how great this games is (demo) and I am having a hard time puting it into words! OHhhhh - this is also COOL! Music in games is always great...puts you in the mood.... Elite Force 2 took it to the next level and made it JUST LIKE A MOVIE! If the action gets tense - the music adjusts to be more intense.... if an apponent appears in the distance...the music adjusts to make you feel like something is going to happen (even if you can barely see them)....it is really hard to describe - it is MUCH better than I'm describing it. Its not just a pre programmed "play this music when the player gets to this point" sort of thing - it REALLY adjusts to the environment you are in and what is going on!!! If you haven't tried the demo - GET IT!!

This definately deserves higher than a 5!!! YES....its THAT GOOD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's see....PLAY THE GAME BEFORE you gripe about it..., May 26, 2003
By J. M Quiggins "Sole_Fish" (Owensboro, Ky. USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
That lady who left a bad review here recently does not, obviously, understand that a more complex game (that will include a romance for th elead character) needs to be more realistic. Unless she wants to see girl on girl action in this sequel. Give me a break. ONE star because there's no girl in the game? I have played the demo as well, and can fully agree that this has the potential to extend the star trek universe in MANY positive ways. Graphics are , as expected, superb. Plot line hasn'
t really been revealed too much yet. However, it is known that the plot will be taken from the series. In the finale of the tv show the voyager went into a wormhole. Then, they went to a commercial. After the commercial, they came out of the wormhole and nothing was ever explained as to what had happenned inside the wormhole. This game is the answer. Very interesting. I have seen that the system requirements are relatively low compared to todays' average powerhouse game releases...

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Concepts but Poor Execution: A Disappointing Sequel, August 4, 2003
Like many fans of the original Elite Force, I bought this game on the very first day. I was quite happy with the new and improved graphics and more advanced AI and weapon accuracy. Unfortunately, the game's weak spots became very evident as I progressed. Three in particular are worth mentioning. [1] Huge areas of the game are not clipped. If I'm not supposed to explore an area - fine. Build a fence. Or add some crates close me into the designated space. But don't keep having me hit non-existent walls. [2] Also, the cinematic segments in this new game are far less true to the TV shows and movies than the cinematic segments in the original game were. The plot often makes no sense at all (during Mission 6, the bad guys are trying to destroy the ship one minute and then disabling the auto-destruct the next). [3] My final complaint is with the weapons. Unlike the original, where one could pick from any weapon acquired, the new game gives you only a handful for any given mission, and often deprives you of one of the two truly excellent ones (the assault and sniper rifles). The missions are good; the locals are better, but key faults in this game make it a frustrating experience. Although it requires a little bit of universe-hopping, I recommend Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast over Elite Force II to any gamer.
