Fantastic Greatest Hits package, December 4, 2002
Westlife, one of the the world's most successful pop groups- bar in America- has just released their first Greatest Hits cd. Known for their romantic, slushy, feelgood ballads, this disc captures all the material that they've previously released and six new songs. In just three years, they've garnered an unprecedented TEN number one singles and the remainder went top 5. Unbreakable includes all of them from the achingly sweet Swear It Again, the anthemic Flying Without Wings, the soaring My Love(probably one of the most beautiful pop songs ever written), to the upbeat, head bopping World Of Our Own. The new songs rise to the challenge, especially Written In The Stars and the Bryan Adams- esque Tonight. This is a great mix for a romantic dinner in or a long drive on a Sunday afternoon. A must have for anyone who yearns for some truly excellent love songs. These Irish boys know how to capture the feeling and I'd HIGHLY recommend this.

A massive, wicked, brilliant album!, May 10, 2003
Unbreakable is a collection of Greatest Hits that are all hits! Who but WESTLIFE could have given us that? This collection demonstrates why WESTLIFE has risen to the top and stayed there for so long -- songs with strong, emotional lyric content; lush, romantic melodies; arrangements that conjure up the great romantic music of the past while remaining contemporary; and five young men who always seem to rise effortlessly to the level their music demands.Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Bryan McFadden, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne, the boys of WESTLIFE, can actually sing. And how they sing! Whether they are wrapping luxurious harmonies around the power ballads like Unbreakable and Queen Of My Heart, or bouncing their voices off the recording studio walls in the up tempo numbers like World Of Our Own and Uptown Girl, or just relaxing and having fun with the mid-tempo songs like Fool Again and When You're Looking Like That, they prove over and over that they are no fluke. These five lads are superb musicians, and their voices are their instruments -- instruments utilized with enormous virtuosity. It seems to have become fashionable to claim that when your musical tastes "mature" you move on from ballads to R&B, or Punk, or Grunge, or Heavy Metal, or whatever else peer pressure and the media are claiming as the musical form du jour. But, although constantly evolving and re-inventing itself, the ballad form goes back centuries, and will undoubtedly be with us when Punk and Grunge and Rap have settled into the dust-heap of history. Unbreakable is an unabashedly emotional and romantic ballad. It surely deserves to be the greatest hit Westlife has had so far! Unbreakable is the first of six new songs recorded for this compilation, and each of these new songs are beautiful, superbly crafted, artistically executed gems. But, Unbreakable deserves special attention. Unbreakable has a hauntingly beautiful melody, complex harmonies, and a full-blown orchestral arrangement that soars into realms ethereal. The six new songs on this compilation are the perfect compliment to the 13 massive hits which are the definitive WESTLIFE, and which have deservedly lifted these five Irish lads to the heights of international super-stardom! Oh, yes! I love this album!

Westlife success, March 4, 2003
Right, here are the songs, and my reviews: 1. Swear It Again (This was the first hit from Westlife I heard on MAX6, so I'm kinda bored of it, but the lyrics are so good! 6/10) 2. If I Let You Go (Nice, simple tune, and again, meaningful lyrics!7.5/10) 3. Flying Without Wings (It means a lot, seriously. The tune mite bore some ppl, including me @ first, but when I listened in depth, I realized it was more than just a flat melody 8/10) 4. I Have a Dream (Rather boring now 4/10) 5. Fool Again (This one... It's alright I suppose. A rather duller melody 5/10) 6. Against All Odds - Mariah Carey (Mariah did a great job in this song 5/10) 7. My Love (Nice intro, with nice lyrics and nice melody, and naturally, nice voices 7/10) 8. I Lay My Love on You (I LOVE THIS SONG!!! It doesn't make that much sense, but the tune is simple, smooth and just nice 9/10) 9. Uptown Girl (A re-sing, originally sung by Billy Joel 7/10) 10. Queen of My Heart (It starts off low, then goes higher and higher. Do not skip this song just cuz it's boring in the front 8/10) 11. World of Our Own (Cool, bouncy beat. 8/10) 12. Bop Bop Baby (Bop Bop Baby the name doesn't make much sense, but the lyrics do. Nice piano intro, but the tune gets boring... 7/10) 13. When You're Looking Like That (A faster beat, with lively lyrics and so. LOVE THIS SONG AS WELL!!!! 9/10) 14. Unbreakable (A ten out of ten bingo! It mite sound boring, but the lyrics are seriously wonderful!!! 10/10) 15. Written in the Stars (More than best! The tune is really nice, actually. 11/10!!) 16. How Does It Feel (Typical Westlife style [if u noe wat i mean] 8/10) 17. Tonight (Nicky looks so cute in the music video! Sorry :p Typical Westlife lyrics, but the tune is not the typical type 7.5/10) 18. Love Takes Two (I find this song rather boring, actually. 4.5/10) 19. Miss You Nights/Westlife Hall of Fame (A silent, slow pace, but nice lyrics. I like how they used 'midnight diamonds' 7.8/10) 20. Westlife Hall of Fame - (Actually, it's FLying w/o Wings again, but this time guest starring BoA. No offence, but I think they cud've chosen a better star. I mean, I doubt she can speak English... 6/10)
