Editorial Reviews

About the Artist
Insane Clown Posse: this horror core shock rock band may be more infamous than famous, more reviled than renowned, but they have made quite a mark on music history, and on the lives of the 1,000,000+ fans (Juggalos) who follow their music and their message. Where some see an underworld of bizarre painted faces jumping to a twisted mesh of rock and soda, others see one of the longest running records in Billboard Top 200 history, a full length motion picture, Big Money Hustlas, the second highest grossing wrestling organization in the U.S., Juggalo Championship Wrestling (JCW), a career in the WWF, WCW, and ECW, and Psychopathic Records, the self-owned record label behind it all.

Perhaps one of the boldest and most successful moves made by Insane Clown Posse was the creation in 2000 of what has now become an annual tradition: The Gathering of the Juggalos. This three-day convention, drawing over 10,000 attendees from the 50 states and overseas, is a mix of concerts, games, contests, auctions, seminars, autograph signings, and everything and anything related to Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records. The Gathering has made a huge impact in every city it has come to, bringing in several million dollars in revenue to the cities it visits. This move is unique in the music industry, and is a shining example of Psychopathic Records' ability to both pioneer and succeed through direct, focused effort.

Insane Clown Posse is without a doubt one of the most successful "behind-the-scenes" bands of all time. Their fame was won without massive radio play, so it is all too easy to discount the band; however their seven certifications (two platinum, five gold) speak for themselves. Their immense popularity lays just beneath the mainstream, yet is all the more substantial and long lasting.

The story of how Insane Clown Posse reached this level of cult celebrity over the last ten years is as detailed as it is amazing. Later in this booklet is a brief history of the five previous Joker's Cards albums to set the stage for the era of sixth and final Joker's Card, beginning November 5th, 2002, when The Wraith: Shangri-La hits stores.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, the 6th Jokers Card, November 15, 2002
By musiqstar88 (The Dark Carnival) - See all my reviews
I've been a dedicated ICP fan since their first album "Carnival Of Carnage" and i've heard every album since. "The Wraith: Shangri-La" finally tells everyone the one thing they've been wanting to know: WHAT IS THE SIXTH JOKERS CARD? Now that's its here, it is both good and bad for ICP fans. The good is that we know what the sixth and all the other jokers cards are. The bad is that there will be no more jokers cards, which means no more new ICP albums. I cannot wait till part 2 of the sixth jokers card "The Wraith: Hell's Pit" comes out in November 2003. I'll always be down with the clown...

5.0 out of 5 stars ATTENTION ALL JUGGALOS AND JUGGALETTES.........., March 24, 2003
By rosemary baldwin (Dark Carnival, ICPville) - See all my reviews
I have been a fan of Insane Clown Posse ever since there first cd came out and this is truly the best ICP cd yet. If you are a true juggalo you should get this cd. These are the songs and time on the Wraith:Shangri-La:

Walk Into the Light(5:09)
Welcome to the Show(3:12)
Get Ya Wicked On(1:47)
Murder Rap(2:32)
Birthday B*tch(1:18)
Blam!...(3:39)
It Rains Diamonds(5:26)
The Staleness(3:58)
Hells Forecast(2:57)
Juggalo Homies(4:42)
Aint Yo Bidness(4:40)
We Belong(2:44)
Cotton Candy and Popsicles(3:42)
Crossing the Bridge(4:14)
The Ravens Mirror(2:59)
The Wraith(3:33)
The Unveiling(3:37)

This is truly Insane Clown Posse's best cd yet. I think that the Gathering of the Juggalo's this year is gonna be good too. I think there saying that that was there last cd for publicity and for people to buy there cd's so they could make money. When they make their next the money is gonna raise even more. Their point was to play hardcore funny music to become really popular and then at the end they told all Juggalos to get into religion. May all Juggalos find him and if your a Juggalo you'll find your way there.... Insane Clown Posse made their way to God..... you can too....

5.0 out of 5 stars i really like this., August 21, 2005
this, in my personal opinion, is the best icp cd. mainly because they went for something different, more of a rock based sound, and pulled it off nicely. i might just like it more because i'm a rock and metal kind of guy. but i gotta say, this is one of those cd's that i can put on and just listen to all the way through. i was really hoping icp would stay with this style of music, but apparently there's no such luck with that. the best songs on here are probably walkin into the light, murder rap, blaaaaam, it rains diamonds, crossing the bridge... eh f*ck it. this is a great cd. buy it, listen.
