Chantal means something, February 19, 2003
I've been saying for a few years that Chantal Kreviazuk is probably the most heard unknown Canadian artist, possibly in the world. With her appearance on the huge 1998 CD Armageddon and her singing the theme to NBCs Providence, as well as appearances on other TV shows and soundtracks, the odds that you have never heard Chantal's wonderful voice is pretty slim. So what does Chantal have to offer? Well, her third CD has something for just about everyone. Whether you're new to her music or an old fan, this CD is for you. It's mainstream friendly enough to appeal to fans of Britney Spears and Celine Dion, emotional enough for fans of Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan and everyone in between. The guys between Nelly Furtado's first CD produced the instantly catchy 'Ready For Your Love'. Michelle Branch lends a voice to the perfect track 'Waiting', which I think has "hit" written all over it. Chantal also experiments, for the first time, with guitar, which she plays on some of the tracks, and it's also the basis of two songs, 'In This Life' and 'Time'. With amazing albums already behind her, Chantal is showing us that there's much more to her than just a piano, so pick up this CD and allow yourself to find that there really is meaning.

What If It ALL Means Something..., December 28, 2002
I must say that Chantal is definitely growing more and more as an artist with each release (this one her first in over 3 years). Chantal may not be a rock star, but Alanis fans will appreciate the vocal similarties between her and Miss Morissette. 'In this Life' has got to be one of Chantal's best songs to date. Totally radio-ready, bouncy and fun, Chantal doesn't really do any deep soul searching on this track (which is nice for a change). 'Julia,' another great track, is, in fact, a song about Julia Roberts. Chantal spotted the mega star dining in LA one day and began to think about what Julia's life must be like. Chantal, trying to put herself in Julia's shoes, decided to imagine the kind of life that all of the fame has created for the Oscar-winning actress. The result is stunning! Chantal really knows how get into someone's mind and explore their feelings and thoughts. The rest of the album is very similar to her 2 previous album both lyrically and musically (which ain't a bad thing!). My only complaint is that there are only 10 songs on this disc. Personally, I can't get enough of Chantal. More is better! Enjoy!

Amazing!, December 9, 2002
This CD is absolutely amazing. Its a bit more upbeat then her last CD, but it is amazing. The first single "In this life" is only one of 11 outstanding tracks. She hits on many topics, including death, desire, love and the search for dignity. Once again Chantal Kreviazuk manages to touch each part of the human soul...making you question life and the things that we believe.
