My three year old son has a few different Play-Doh toys, even a "mega" set that includes about two dozen molds, cutters, fuzzy pumpers, extruders and such. But time and again he chooses Doh Doh Island.

This set includes:
* Three Doh Doh characters
* An island set piece with a cave and volcano with extruding top
* Palm tree extruder and roller
* Several molds for creating small items
* Plastic knife
* Four small Play-Doh modeling compounds

There are several nice points about this set:

1. The Doh Doh characters are made of very solid plastic and should be unbreakable, even under heavy use. The rest of the set is also high quality. Better made than some Play-Doh sets we own.

2. You can play "bowling" by molding tiki characters and then rolling a ball of Play-Doh down the "tongue" of the volcano, toppling them. My son loves this.

3. Cleans up better than some of the other extrusion sets (though the included knife should have the ability to poke out the Play-Doh from all the holes in the extruders, it cannot handle the smallest extrusion holes.)

4. Has a certain "grossnesss" factor that boys love when you extrude Play-Doh through the Doh Doh characters.

5. Good price for what you get and for how much play pleasure it provides.

The Easter Bunny brought this for my 3 - ages 2,4, & 9 1/2. All three really love it. It comes with several Doh-dohs, so more than one kid can play with it & not fight over it. It has several areas to squeeze the playdoh through & a bonus for little ones is the Doh-dohs are mostly plastic so they can play like the big kids. The new play-doh is so much easier to clean than the playdoh I grew up with & it is softer, not so hard to use. The only complaint is with all of the little holes on all of the doh-dohs that need to be cleaned but some are big enough that you can use a knife, unlike the fuzzy-pumper.

What more could a four year old boy ask for this set has monsters, a volcano and a rock guy. The monsters are a bit hard to clean out so don't expect young children to clean up on their own, unless you have stock in Play Doh. The knife that comes with it has some helpful points for pushing out the stuck bits. The set IS worth the trouble.
