Hello, I bought this Elmo for my 10 month baby girl Maddie, and I think in her opinion, it's the best Christmas present under the tree! Even, I love it!I have to say though that he does do the whole Hokey Pokey song. Elmo puts one arm in, and out and "shakes it all about", and then he spins around, and then he does the same with the leg. I think that is all that is needed. If he did the song with both legs, and both arms, it would be a little too much. Besides, it doesn't matter to the ones that its important to - our kids. When Elmo was unwrapped on Christmas morning, Maddie just loves him from the start. Everyone in the family loves how he danced, and turned around - even on the carpet! The best part was when he falls, he says "Can you help Elmo up please? Thank you.". The entire family couldn't get enough of this. He was passed around the big kids (Maddie's uncles) who kept knocking him over just to hear him say that phrase. Two weeks later, he is still in perfect condition. We keep Elmo on Maddie's dresser, and she can clearly see him from her crib. I think that this toy has helped her learn how to point. When I go to her in her crib, she just looks, at him, and points, and so of course, we go see him. She claps her hands, and smiles. I have to agree with Maddie, this was the best Christmas present that I could have gotten for her!
